Neuro Emotional Technique (NET): A Cancer Case Study

person getting back adjustmentNeuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a type of chiropractic care that focuses on the relationship between the nervous system and emotions. At Abundant Health Arizona, we’re proud to offer this technique to patients of all walks of life.

Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a newly diagnosed cancer patient. This patient had an excellent medical team of doctors and she knew how she wanted to move forward with her care, but was seeking help managing the emotional side of the diagnosis. Studies based on MRI findings in cancer patients have determined that just the diagnosis of cancer alone is enough to send the body into a fight-or-flight state of stress. “The results of the study were really quite dramatic. In just four to five brief sessions, patients who received NET reported much less distress, their overall emotional state improved significantly and the way their brains reacted to stress cues normalized.”1

That’s where we came in.

With Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), we recently helped this patient manage the emotions and stressors that came with her diagnosis

NET is based on the idea that emotions can influence the nervous system, and vice versa. This type of care can help to relieve stress, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. Many of our patients who’ve undergone this technique report feeling better mentally and physically.

This patient was able to deal with the stress of cancer and get to a place of emotional relief, which she believed greatly helped her body heal. We worked with her once each week during her treatment (when it was safe to do so) over the course of six months.
